There is no better feeling than helping someone. It is so rewarding to see the effects of the care and education we provide; there can be such a difference in a patient’s health and happiness, and those improvements are directly related to the treatment we’ve given.
I am so happy that I am exposed to so many unique people. I have found that each patient I meet has a wonderful story and something to teach me. Whether it’s a hobby we have in common or an interest that is unfamiliar to me, I look forward to striking up a conversation with each patient so we can have a good laugh or share something with each other. I feel that I make a new friend everyday as I get to know my patients personally.
Of course, having a strong team behind me makes all the difference in our patients’ care. I am very fortunate to have joined a team that is so extraordinary. They deliver care that exceeds all expectations, all with passion towards each patient’s health and experience in our office.
Education and continuing education
As a native of Eau Claire, I attended Eau Claire Memorial High School and the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, where I graduated with a chemistry/biology double major. I then moved to Milwaukee, where I attended dental school at Marquette University.
I feel it is important to keep up with technologies and different techniques so I can customize each patient’s care. Everyone is unique and I want to make sure I am well versed in all possible treatment options.
In order to maintain my knowledge of the best treatments available, it is essential to continue my education in all aspects of general dentistry, orthodontics, sedation, endodontics, and oral surgery.
I am also involved in numerous professional organizations, including the American Dental Association, the Wisconsin Dental Association, and the American Association of Endodontists. These provide me with many opportunities to continue my education and stay active within my profession.
Outside the office
I am so happy to have returned to Eau Claire to practice dentistry and start my family. I love spending time with my family and friends, and I love to be outdoors. If I am not at work I am normally doing something physical, such as cross-country skiing, playing ping pong, ice fishing, or working out. Recently, I have picked up gardening and wood working, and I love to grill out in the summer.
